This painting is the fifth in a new series titled "Walk the Talk." As an art teacher and instructor, I realized that I haven't been utilizing the skills I have taught in my own artistic production. My next challenge as an artist was to apply the skills I teach. It hasn't been easy, but I have enjoyed revisiting the basics. I used this setup to teach my students about creating a complete painting using only the three primary colors and white. Most of my students are accustomed to using a wide range of colors right from the start, so they thought the exercise was too basic and would hold them back. However, they soon began to realize the potential of these three basic colors, using the endless combinations to produce extraordinary work! This exercise helped them understand and apply the concepts of color mixing and harmony, a skill set that I have reintroduced in my own art production.
