I was asked to paint this house under the snow as a gift for a couple who were leaving their neighborhood after 40 years. Their neighbors and long time friends wanted to give them a testimony of their friendship.

I paid extra attention to the details of the house and the bushes, because I thought that after several decades, you must know every nook and cranny of your home. The challenge was to make this painting feel personal. I later found out that it was received with a lot of emotions and tears. I’m so happy that I was a part of celebrating such a friendship.
